Desktop Freezes on Right Click

When I right click on my Desktop, it will freeze for 2-7 mins and do nothing.
I cannot move Icons or select them.
The task bar works fine throughout this though.

This doesn't happen when right clicking on an Icon, it seems to have a problem when Right Clicking on a blank space.

In addition, when it crashes, the 'Show Desktop' button in the lower right fails to minimize my windows.
So I have to minimize everything manually.

This is really irritating and I want to get this fixed.

Edit: I recently had my Hard Disk replaced as it was corrupting and crashing my PC (The problem from my last Question).

Method 1:

Note: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.
Method 2:
If you are unable to resolve the issue, then I suggest you to check in a clean boot state.
Clean boot helps you determine if any third party application may be the cause of the issue.
If you are able to determine, if any third party application is causing the issue then you can uninstall the application.

Method 3:
Try performing SFC scan on the computer.

a. Click “Start”, click All “Programs”, click “Accessories”, right-click “Command Prompt”, and then click “Run as administrator”.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password,
or click “Allow”
b. Type the following command, and then press ENTER: “sfc /scannow” (without the quotes)

[The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.]

Run CHKDSK to Fix Desktop Freezes on Right Click

Go to the Start button.
In the Search box, type "cmd" (without quotes) and press Enter.
At the command prompt, type "chkdsk /r /f" (without quotes) and press Enter.
Reboot your computer.

An error might pop up:

"Access denied as you do not have significant privileges. You have to invoke this utility in elevated mode."

If you receive the above error message, it means you are not logged into you computer as an Administrator. If that's the case, follow these steps to run the command prompt in elevated mode:
