I have an old windows applicaion from charles schwab called "street smat"  I use it for stock protfolio record keeping.  It runs on xp and vista and win7 ultimate 32 bit.  I have a new dell inspiiron 1764 lap top.  This is the only applicaion i use that
will not run on win 7 home premimum 64 bit.  I get  this is not compatable error when i start the app.

By looking in Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility center, the program you mentioned is not listed

HERE.
The software application would not be supported in 64 bit platform of Windows 7, I suggest you to contact manufacturer for more help.
 
You may try to run the application in compatibility mode, by right clicking on the main executable file, select Properties, in Compatibility tab, under Run this program in compatibility mode for, choose Windows Vista or XP and check.

To check for Windows updates
