Application minimizes itself to the task bar but cannot do anything else.

Adobe Premier Elements 8 (compatible with Win 7) - when I double click the icon, it opens the application just fine, then minimizes itself to the task bar below.
I can see it, I can preview it, but when I click on it, it won't do anything.
It's running
in task manager, but I cannot do anything with the application.

Did you make any hardware or software changes lately?

Is it happening with all the applications or is it limited to Adobe Premier Elements 8 only?
3.
Did you make any changes to the computer lately?

4. You can try running it as an Administrator and check.
    Right click on the Application icon and clcik on Run as Administrator.

How can I improve the odds that I'll have success with Premiere Elements 8?
