All of my 8GB are being used when renaming a file/folder.
When I slowly double-click a file or folder name to rename it, I can enter it all in just fine, but after pressing Enter to finalize the change, the computer begins a steep spike to 99% RAM usage.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit on a Quad-Core
3.8ghz/8GB system.
My CPU usage doesn't spike, it flutters between 15-30% usage.
I can wait it out and it'll go back to normal, or close Explorer.exe to speed the process.
It takes about 3-5 minutes to wait it out.
Completely ridiculous.
I shouldn't have to
close Explorer either.
If anyone has had this problem, please let me know how you fixed it.
This is only happening within the past two weeks.
